NCMP – NORMI™ Certified Microbial Professional

Wonder Makers is pleased to announce that the training that, in the past, led to the Restoration Industry Association’s designation as a Certified Mold Professional (CMP) is now being sponsored by the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors (NORMI™). With this new partnership, The CMP will now be known as the NORMI Certified Microbial Professional (NCMP™). Existing Certified Mold Professionals will be able to migrate their certification to NCMP through a simple process.

The NCMP represents the highest-level training available in the mold remediation industry. From its inception, it incorporated a number of features which set it apart from other offerings in the restoration industry. As it was prior to the rebranding, prerequisites to the NCMP require interested individuals to have successfully completed a mold remediation technician course and a mold remediation supervisor course (while these courses are also offered by Wonder Makers Environmental, the prerequisites can be obtained from a number of sources including NORMI, IICRC, Indoor Sciences, etc.).Successful completion of the NORMI Certified Remediation for Sensitized Individuals class is also required for students to attend the NCMP class (the NCRSI and NCMP classes are conveniently offered back-to-back for anyone wanting to complete the pre-requisite at the same time as the NCMP).  In addition to successfully completing the NCMP course, the completion of a capstone project is required of individuals who aspire to become a NORMI Certified Microbial Professional.

Linking the NCMP to the detailed procedural material in the NCRSI class ensures that certified microbial professionals understand the latest remediation techniques and the importance of developing a network of support services for the client.

LIVE ONLINE Simulcast: Students are encouraged to participate in the onsite training to experience the hands-on segments of the course but, where necessary, the student may take this course with a LIVE ONLINE Simulcast Option. NORMI utilizes high-tech TV quality equipment to provide a live setting experience and students may participate by asking and answering questions in this live setting. This course is broadcast through the ZOOM platform and details for accessing the class are given a short time prior to the commencement of the class.
